▶ 13:53 here this evening. My name's Allison Ali Goldberg. I am Very thrilled to be here tonight and to be considered for being appointed to the Melrose Commission on woman. Very excited to serve. I am beyond being a woman personally. I am very enthused to see female leadership not only here but continuing to see female leadership grow across the Commonwealth and across the country. I've devoted a significant portion of my life stemming from I like to tell the story of when I was young I won't bore you too long. But when I was asked as a young girl what I wanted to be growing up, I used to say the second woman president because I figured at that point in time when I had become old enough that surely there would have been a woman president
▶ 14:47 already. Unfortunately. We're not quite there yet. But at this point in my life, I am committed to continuing to advance parody for women and girls and would love to be more involved here in the community of Melrose. I've lived here now for about six years live over on Cottage Street with my husband and my three and one year old sons who I am very excited to show very early on how best they can be allies and supportive. I was asked well pregnant. You know what I was having the typical. What are you having question? I would tell people I was having a feminist and that is exactly what I have and what I plan to raise and very excited to entertain any questions. You may have my candidacy. You know what I love to do in terms of advocating for parity and turn that into action here in Melrose with some of my other colleagues strengths and ways we can promote whether it be through events or public awareness that you know, it's not just like we happen to be in women's history month right now, which is excellent that it's not just a month of recognizing and celebrating. It's how can we take where we are recognize where we've been and how

How we as adults can lead and encourage them to? And what is it that we provide for them to empower them and to support them during their maternity leave during their you know sick time. child care support and all this so I would encourage the commission and woman also if they can pair with the leadership in marrows and our mayor's office, of course to work on that. I would love to look into those qualities policies as
▶ 18:42 the exist in the city and personally you hit a lightning rod to someone as a parent of young children with childcare in particular, which I know as an issue being looked at it multiple levels of government, but definitely on a local level love to see how best really support parents of young children in particular because having healthy and happy Parents both, you know, mentally and physically is best to keep the children.
