▶ 13:34 Jen Grigoraitis: Public comment at this time is now closed. Again, the order 2021 has the dash 34 having been pre-read. um i open it up to uh president rigoritis yes thank you chairman chairman cozy um as was mentioned this is an order sponsored by myself and councillor Migliorelli um to alleviate the 75 fee currently charged for renewal of a common victoria license by the city of melrose um for those of you You know, this is a license that's required for anyone who is selling food. They're currently 35 licenses across the city and fee is 75 dollars. So, the financial impact on the city of eliminating would be just under 3000 dollars as I believe we are all very well aware of many of these establishments for force to close entirely back in the spring.
▶ 14:34 Jen Grigoraitis: were under statewide shutdowns and then have had to operate at reduced capacity and including the most recent decision by the governor to roll back the hours that restaurants can offer food and drink so the financial impact on businesses serving food has been significant and i know that many of us have heard from them as the counselor who represents main street i know that it's been a real hardship for many of these businesses and while i won't pretend that 75 dollars is gonna make or break someone i think every little bit can um help and so this is one way that we can alleviate some of the burden on our small businesses i think in a way that is not a significant financial impact to the city so that is why i co-sponsored this order

Tramontozzi: thank you uh thank you uh council mickle or you would you like to make any statements um no i'm just going president Grigoraitis remarks thank you very good thank you any anybody else wish to make any statement or comments or have any questions uh just to let the public know that uh there is a letter from uh the um executive director of the meadows chamber of commerce uh lauren grimmick and they're very supportive of this uh order um that would relieve the 15 restaurants that we have in Melrose, 15 holders of the licenses of their responsibility to pay that. I think this is well-intended and a good order, and I appreciate the President of the Council and Councilor Migliorelli to present it.
▶ 16:16 Mark Garipay: Councilor Garipay, I see a hand. Yes, thank you, Mr. Chairman. As a non-voting member, I would like to, I fully support this order, but has the administration at least sent down some sort of idea on what the dollar amount is that will impact the city? Yes, I believe they did. And I don't know if it's that 1 point in time. I saw it in the president that we can write us as I mentioned the amount. I think that's that is accurate. Figure yes, thank you. Especially through the chair chairman chairman. So I did make that request of the administration counselor and did not receive a response. Um, I did receive a response from the city clerk confirming that there are 35 licenses and that the fee is 75 dollars.
