CITY OF MELROSE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITTEE CALENDAR● AUGUST 25, 2014 Aldermanic Chamber Committee Meeting 7:35 PM The public should take notice that the Melrose Board of Aldermen may, on certain occasions, have a quorum in attendance due to standing committees of the Board of Aldermen consisting of both voting and non-voting members. Pursuant to the open meeting law notice is It is hereby given that this meeting is being recorded by MMTV. Is there a motion? Motion to open the floor for public participation, Madam Chairman. Alderman Mortimer moves to open the floor for public participation. Second. Second by Alderman Inferna. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? The floor is now open for public participation. This- Thank you, Alderman Inferna, thank you. Second. Alderman Aferna moves to close public participation as there is no one here tonight.

We have one item on the agenda this evening. It is order 2015-25, reappointment of James B. Lane, 34 Mount Hood Terrace to the Park Commission for a term of five years. The said term to expire on the first Monday in May 2019. Motion to recommend for passage. Alderman Mortimer recommends the order for passage. Second. Seconded by Alderman Inferna. Is there any discussion on the order? Alderman Mortimer. Thank you very much, Chairman Byrd. Mr. Lane is my neighbor and he's a really, really hard working guy. He's a retired golf pro, so he's good for the golf course, but he's also a neighbor of Mount Hood, the biggest park in the city of Melrose.

He's already had them beautify the golf course extensively, beautify the park, open up some of the walking trails. He's been a great asset to the Park Commission, and we're really lucky to have him. you Thank You alderman Mortimer anything further on discussion no so we have a motion to recommend that was duly seconded all those in favor please say aye aye any opposed this order will be recommended to the full board at our next meeting and that was our one and only agenda item for public service this evening do we have a motion to adjourn so moved Alderman Mortimer seconded by Alderman Inferno all those in favor any opposed
