▶ 0:01 Robb Stewart: Good evening. It is 7:00 PM on Monday, December 2nd. I called to order this caucus of the Melrose City Council. Melrose City Council. I'm Councillor Stewart. And under Rule 48 of the Rules of Order, the Melrose City Council, um, the President Pro Tempore is the senior member of the body and shall preside over the caucus to nominate a president for the ensuing year in accordance with Rule 48. The caucus shall be held on the first Monday in December, and in accordance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law, this caucus is being broadcast live and is being recorded, um, and will be made available on MMTV and in the City of Melrose website. Mme. Kirk, uh, could you please call the role I will. Counselor Occhio? Here. Counselor Gareg? Here.

The 2024 City Council caucus to nominate President of the Council for 2025. At this time I'll entertain a motion to open the floor for nominations. So second. Okay. We have a motion to, uh, open the floor for nominations by Council Garey. Seconded by Council Caram Chetty. Um, a discussion under discussion. Um, Council, Council Jamal. Council Stewart, I would like to make a motion and nominate, I would like to nominate, um, uh, councilor Elli. We just need to vote on opening the floor, so, oh, okay. So sorry.
