We have no new business for the evening, so we will move into our unfinished business Resolution 2024 dash one a resolution honoring Melrose Little League's Massachusetts, U 10 Baseball State Champions. Councillor Elli. Thank you Madam President. So welcome here, little League Champions.
▶ 2:33 Leila Migliorelli: We're gonna read your resolution and you guys get to take a photo up with us. So whereas the 2023 Melrose Little League U 10 team won the Massachusetts U 10 Baseball State championship, whereas they're the first team in Melrose Little League history to win a state title. Whereas the team placed second in the New England Regional Championship and were the first Melrose team to participate in this tournament. Whereas these young players exhibited good sportsmanship on and off the fields of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Therefore, we recognize the players, coaches, and parents for their dedication, hard work and success. This was submitted by Councillor Greg, president Greg iis and myself. Thank you Councillor ly.

Um, so I wanted to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues for amending what was put down and putting it forward in this way. Um, and I just also wanted to, again, take, take the opportunity to say thank you to the incredible Public Safety Committee, uh, for their work. Um, I think I've said numerous times that it was exceptional and involved a lot of constituents and a lot of volunteers and a lot of voices which matters. Um, and the only thing I would like to add is that if voters do support this measure, I hope that we will also come together again to make sure that we support

Uh, I just wanted to make my point again that, uh, while I will support this 'cause I think it's important to have continuity in the election. I am, uh, against having a single, uh, location for the elections I think we should consider in the future to move, uh, back to having, uh, multiple locations for elections. Um, we have an election in what, six to eight weeks and actually two weeks. So, um, I do agree. Hopefully we can continue to look at, um, going back to some other locations throughout the city.
