▶ 0:03 Jack Eccles: Good, a good evening. This is a meeting of the Public Works Committee. I am Councilor Jack Eccles, the chair joining me are voting members, councilor Ella, vice Chair McMaster, and President Greg Exofficio. This provides a notice of a quorum for the record in accordance with the open meeting law. This meeting is being recorded and broadcast in our local cable access channel, M M T V, as well as live streamed on the M M T V website and available for public viewing through the City of Melrose meeting portal. We have a few items on tonight's agenda. We have a public hearing that will open at 8:00 PM We also have public comment on the agenda this evening. Um, if with unanimous consent, we can open public comment.
▶ 0:50 Jack Eccles: This is a portion of the meeting, the first portion of the meeting where any member of the public can come forward and speak on anything on tonight's agenda. Anyone in the room speaking for public comment going online? There's no one present at this time. Thank you. Um, with unanimous consent, we can close public comment and wait until 8:00 PM when we can open the public hearing. Okay. Um, now with unanim consent, we can open the public hearing scheduled for 8:00 PM on the utility petition of Mass Electric National Grid to install Underground Electric conduit at the intersection of West Emerson Street in Lake Ave. Um, if there's any members of the public here to speak during the public hearing?

Um, and then before us, we have petition 2024 dash one Utility Petition of Mass Electric National Grid to install Underground Electric Conduit at the intersection of West Emerson Street in Lake Ave. We have two people here to speak on that and three N'S consent. We can suspend the rules. If you could please introduce yourself and State And VO Reese. I'm the city engineer. Thank You. Hi, good evening. I'm Alex Auty. I'm with National Grid Electric. Thanks. Uh, so we're here tonight to present this petition. Um, the reason this Grand River location is required is, uh, for new electrical service to the library, um,
▶ 2:34 which is being renovated right now. So, um, the grant of location is across the right of way on the sidewalk, um, along the side of Lake Ave, adjacent to the library. And it's about 50 feet, um, of 2, 2 4 inch conduits that will be installed, um, from a pole in the sidewalk to the transformer at, on the library property itself. Thanks. Any questions for members of the committee? Councilor, master, uh, Thank you, Mr. Chair. I'm just wondering, Mr. Reese, if the abutters were, um, notified of the, the public hearing? Yes. Abutters were notified. Thank you. Any other questions? Seeing none. What is the will of the committee motion to recommend for passage?
