I am Alderman Shawn McMaster, the Chair of the Committee. Joining me this evening are voting members of the Committee, Vice Chairman Peter Mortimer, Alderman Robert Boisselle, Alderman Kate Lipper-Garabedian, and Alderman John Tramontozzi. also joining us are non-voting members alderman Manisha Bewtra alderman Scott Forbes alderman Monica Medeiros alderman Frank Wright I'm sorry Alderman Michaels-Burko Alderman Wright is not present in accordance with the open meeting law this meeting is being recorded and broadcast live on MMTV as well as live streamed on the MMTV website it is also available for future

MacMaster: downloading on the city of Melrose and MMTV websites motion to open the floor for public comment mr. chairman second place chairman Mortimer has made a motion to open the floor for public comment duly seconded by Alderman Lippa Garabedian all in favor any opposed we are now in the public comment section of this meeting this is the time of the meeting where any member of the public can come forward on one agenda item that we have just so the public is aware this particular meeting is relative to a livery license if anybody is here to speak on the Brazil Street matter that will be the meeting that immediately follows this one so if anybody is present to speak on that one item again that is the livery license motion board

MacMaster: at this time closed public comment second alderman lippa garabedian has made a motion to close public comment seconded by vice chair Mortimer all in favor aye any opposed we have one item on our agenda this evening it is order number two zero two zero dash five application from Murad Dajar requesting a new livery license doing business as ABC e livery motion to suspend the rules that we may hear from the applicant second the motion alderman Lippa Garabedian has made a motion to suspend the rules so that we can hear from the applicant duly seconded by vice-chair Mortimer all in favor aye opposed mr. Thank you for being here tonight and for being interested in doing business in Melrose. Maybe you could just share with the public who may be watching at home or wants to watch later the kind of vehicle that you have and what kind of service you're going to be able to provide. I have Ford Taurus 2015. I used to do taxi company but the taxi service is gone now i need to try the livery and i live in melrose oh wonderful so and then we'll how will people be able to reach out if they would like to secure your services if they come they go to google

Mortimer: or they go ask me i don't know urban city hall and because i used to get my taxi license from 2009 and i need to go to police station every year i don't have any problem okay very good so if they wanted to find you they could search for abce livery melrose and they'll find you there all right well great congratulations that's it thanks chairman looking through the paperwork mr chairman i noticed that there is a signature usually present from sergeant gawk of the melrose police department that is absent on the paperwork i would not want to hold this up and i will make a motion to recommend this order for passage but i would ask that we go ahead and get that signature for before this uh order goes before the full board meeting absolutely vice chair one more i think um

MacMaster: that is something which we should be able to get from the clerk's office just for the record we do have other documents relative to this application that i'd just like to put on the record we have the application for a livery license we have a report from the fire department as vice chair Mortimer mentioned that we don't have a report or certification from the police department which we will seek for his request we have a workers compensation insurance affidavit a tax certification form the certificate of registration from the rmv in proof of commercial automobile insurance and mr dejar you're aware that the registration looks like it expires november 19th so that is something you'll have to uh okay you'll have to get that i have to renew

MacMaster: everything yeah yes okay and in that vein then i will make a motion to recommend this order for passage second vice chair Mortimer has made a motion to recommend uh for passage seconded by alderman lippi garabedian on discussion all in favor aye aye any opposed the motion carries sir what that means is we have just recommended this for passage it will go before the next meeting of the full board of alleman which will be on august 19th you need not appear at that date but if you have any questions in the meantime you can certainly reach out to miss foote our clerk of committees thank you for being here motion to adjourn mr chairman second alderman mortimer has made a motion to adjourn who is seconded by alderman boisselle all in favor aye aye any
