I am just going to take one brief moment since I see some new faces in the chamber. to just go over our public comment process and um as i mentioned it any item that's on our agenda this evening you are welcome to come forward sign in on the sheet of paper and discuss with us they our rules of order state that it must be on an item that is on our agenda this evening now if i

Lemmerman: were to guess i think the majority of folks who are here this evening are likely here for order 2020-4 request for update by city officials on matters related to june 20th 2019 brazil street sewer backup we of course welcome public comment on that this evening it must be specific to that incident as that is how the order is written and all members will have 10 minutes as our rule stated to provide that comment there will be no discussion i just want to flag for people there will be no discussion likely this evening among the aldermen on this order the way that our process goes is an item is introduced at a full board meeting and the vast majority of the time it has been assigned to a committee unless an alderman requests immediate consideration and

Boisselle: on appropriations order 2 0 2 0 5 an application from Murad deja requesting a new livery license doing business as a BCE livery that will go to the committee on protection and license no orders out of order we have no orders from committee do we have reports under rule 53 I have a report from the traffic Commission we had a meeting June 19th of this year at 530 in this chamber a number of topics were discussed most of them were with stop signs this time the first one was request by residents to add a stop sign at the intersection of seawall road woods road and in Linfields Parkway and Perkins Street and that was approved we have a request by multiple residents to have a four-way stop reconsidered at Dell Avenue and East Foster Street based on a new crash

▶ 6:16 Robert A. Boisselle: history data. That was a lengthy discussion. A number of residents were there. The police department also gave their statistics. The engineering had some questions concerning the counts of traffic through the area and they were recommending an engineering study before a solution is recommended. We also had a The city requests to formally accept a north-south bike route counter flow portion on West Highland Avenue from Chipman Avenue to Ashland Street, and that was approved. We also request by pedestrians and bicycle advisory committee to remove one parking space in front of Mexico Lindo immediately next to the crosswalk for pedestrian safety and visibility and replaced it with a space in front of the alley south of Mexico Lindo.

Boisselle: Now this alleyway is between Mexico Lindo and the eastern bank and there was some discussion with safety officials, especially the fire department, that they prefer not to have it blocked for any possible fires that could occur at that particular site and that was still left open for discussion and the safety officials will be getting back to the traffic Commission on the acceptance or not acceptance of a parking space we also had a request by residents to add a stop sign on Felicia Road at Longfellow Road and that was not passed and the requests by residents to add a crosswalk across Upham Street and Dell Avenue and that was approved and a request by our president alderman limmerman to add a crosswalk across

Lemmerman: Howard Street and Carli doubt Road and that was approved and that concludes the meeting of the traffic Commission for June 19th for this year thank you are there any further reports from committees there are also no items on the calendar I will note we are at 755 we do have on this agenda previously set public hearing this is regarding order 2019-113 petition of national grid to break approximately three feet of sidewalk to install underground cable and conduit from pole 854 to feed 24-30 herd street in accordance with plan number 281-486-47 we did hear from national grid that they actually made an error and they do not in fact have to install a conduit and so this public hearing is no longer necessary as the board does not need to vote to allow for it since it

Lemmerman: won't be happening they were able to run a line from an existing poll to the property in question for that reason we will not be holding the public hearing i do though i know that all residents were informed of this in the area but i do want to just make sure that there is no one here this evening who had been planning to speak on that seeing none it would be uh in order to uh place this on file alderman Tramontozzi yeah in light of the fact that there were no will not be a public hearing this evening in the withdrawal of national grid i will make a motion to place it on file second we have a motion to place this order on file by alderman Tramontozzi seconded by alderman mortimer on discussion all in favor aye aye any opposed the order is placed on file this concludes
