Members of the Finance Committee include Alderman Tramontozzi, who also serves as Vice Chair. Voting members are Alderman Wright, Alderman Mortimer, Alderman Zwirko, and President Kahn. Non-voting members that are present here tonight include Alderman Boisselle and Alderman Medeiros. And before we get to public participation, I mean Alderman Medeiros, Alderman Lemmerman, I apologize. And before we get to public participation, this meeting is being recorded. Seeing nobody from the general public. There may be somebody, Mr. Chairman. Yeah, we do have somebody, Mr. Chairman. Just to let you know, ma'am, this is a finance committee. One order involves a- No, no, yeah. Understandably so. That's why I wanted to give you the heads up. That's fine. Motion to close public participation, Mr. Chairman.

Public participation has concluded for this portion of our meeting. We have one order before us tonight. It is order number 2016-175. It is a transfer of $1,632 from health insurance, group health, account number 019142-549201 to City Clerk Professional Services, account number 011612-529000 as set forth herein. Motion to suspend the rules so that we may hear from the appropriate city officials. Second. We have a motion to suspend the rules made by Alderman Mortimer, seconded by Alderman Zwirko. All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? The rules are suspended.
▶ 2:10 Miss O'Shea? Good evening. Now we have a memo here in our literature, if you could just give us a summary, if you want to read the letter, that would be great. So it's a very small amount, but it's to help with the workload in the office. The period is six weeks. It would be about approximately six hours a week for six weeks. And as I stated in the memo, the dog office is sending out reminder letters to people that haven't renewed their dog licenses. So actually, since I wrote the letter, at that time, we had taken in $41,000, $156,000. We've taken in another additional $3,000 since I wrote the letter. And also, he'll help at the counter so that the staff, the clerks, can get their work done.
▶ 3:08 thank you president Khan is this gonna fund a part-timer to do this or is this gonna fund overtime for existing staff no this is um no it's not part-time so this is gonna be overtime for existing no no it's somebody that's been helping out from time to time okay so it's a part-time person a part-time person yeah that was my question oh so you're gonna have a part-time person for six hours a a week until this $1,600 is run out and this is gonna cover this whole thing to the end of the year that's almost Jim thank you mr. president motion to recommend I got a motion to recommend made by Alderman Mortimer second second by Alvin Trayvon tozy remaining on discussion Alderman's work oh please yeah just curious Thorp a portion this memo here where it says in addition to
▶ 3:59 the license work this will also help cover for vacations and sick time in the clerk's office is there a specific breakdown of that or is that over the six-week period this request is like be a minimum than I'm requesting so I just be happy to receive this but we could actually use more more hours in the office for somebody but so Susan you sees by five weeks vacation I get five weeks Ruth gets four weeks vacation and then I usually carry over two weeks and Susan does because we don't have a chance to take all my vacation time so any vacation is carried over has to be used by the end of the fiscal year by June 27th is that the date I'm not gonna quibble over the amount or anything I just I know that we have you know a senior work off program and then we have
