▶ 2:06 Paul Brodeur: Good evening, Mr. Chairman and members of the committee that delighted to be here with you this evening to offer your consideration. The nomination of Sidney highs a comp as a associate member of the Conservation Commission delighted to be able to introduce you here today. You should know that she has a bachelor's and Masters and science specifically in biology both from University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She has a special interest. She reached out to us about serving in this role. She's very interested in public health and environmental justice and has actually done some field work including here in Melrose. And I guess I would ask you not to hold this against her. She she discovered a unique rare parasite right here in the city of Melrose. Which for those of you research world now, that's the Holy Grail, right? That is a I hope their name it after you, but that's great. She also has Is a certificate from the Environmental Protection Agency related to Watershed Academy training. Obviously that is a big part of what the Conservation Commission does not be more delighted to be here with Ms. Hi to offer her feel consideration.

I have so many questions about the parasite but this is probably not the time but it's something I'm interested having contracted one dipping in the Ganges River a few years ago. So too much information for the rest of the crowd just interested in you reached out to be on the Conservation Commission. So just curious like what are the things that you're interested in working on? What would you like to do given you've been in Melrose for a while and and involved? What do you see as some of the things we should be thinking about
▶ 4:33 Speaker 3: and focusing on? Yes. So my interest in environmental work is relatively new I come from more of a health Focus background. So it goes hand in hand in my opinion. I am looking into how the urban environment is changing around us and how we can build climate resilience. I am also interested in, you know, protecting the vulnerable parts of our environment. And learning more as I do it.
