Um, I'm here tonight for the appropriation for 32,000 764 60 from the, uh, free cash fund. Uh, the project, um, aims to scan all the department folders and documents and the inspection services. Um, we're gonna be able to free up, uh, physical space in our office, provide the public with instant access to our records, reduce our carbon footprint, eliminate wasteful copying, and, uh, decrease clerical work. Um, this is, uh, a project I was involved at my prior, um, municipality. And, um, I did put a quote together from, uh, the, um, uh, the company that I work with, um, last time, which, um, um, uh, new England Archive Center, uh, which was a fantastic quote for, for the amount of work that we, um, need to do here. ▶ 1:50:29 Speaker 4: This is legacy. Uh, this is all our old documents that we're having, all our current documents, they're all going, uh, through our, they're being scanned by the, uh, customers that are actually applying for these permits.

▶ 1:51:00 Speaker 4: I am not sure about that. I haven't reached out, but I did discuss this project prior with, um, and during our department head meeting. This was when I first got hired, and I don't think anyone expressed any kind of equipment or anything like that, that could have been utilized to do something like this. So
▶ 1:51:17 Maya Jamaleddine: Are we having issue with the equipment or are we having issue with the bodies?
▶ 1:51:25 Speaker 9: Well, so we don't have this type of equipment.
▶ 1:51:27 Speaker 4: It's very specialized, huge equipment that, uh, I would doubt the school would have. It's probably the size of a small, you know, two of these tables put together. And it's, it's scanning different size, um, documentation. So it's not just a sheet of paper, it's talking about full scale plans where they actually have to take a part, the paper clips, and then put them through this large, uh, scanner. And it's, it's a, it's a conveyor belt kind of process where they, I wouldn't, I wouldn't even know where to start with, like just doing it on my own or through the school department to do something like that.
