▶ 11:59 Leila Migliorelli: oh, sorry. Public comments. Seeing none. We're now closed for public comments. And at this time I will open motion by unanimous consent to open the joint public hearing with the planning board for the proposed zoning amendment to establish brewery use. Seeing no objection, we are now open for the public hearing. Again. Do we have anyone here or online who would like to speak for the public hearing?

▶ 12:36 Speaker 10: Thank you. Good evening. My name is Lauren Grek. I'm here, um, as the city's Director of Economic Recovery and Business Development, and also on behalf of Mayor Broder since he can't be with us tonight. To, to extend and reiterate the city, um, the administration support for the zoning amendment that's being considered. Um, in terms of my role in the economic development sort of landscape, this would establish, um, a new use, open up new opportunities for businesses that we don't currently have here. Um, and if we look around us, uh, even on the North Shore, we see this type of use, um, is becoming quite popular in other communities. Um, even Needham is a community that recently went through all of this, and I, I don't necessarily think of Needham as a destination, um, but it's certainly becoming one. And my feeling is that if our community doesn't adopt this zoning amendment and, and support this type of use, that will fall behind in, in our sister communities, uh, Wakefield, Stoneham and others might do it. Um, so I feel that now is the time to, to do this. And I think that a brewery would also support the other businesses we have here, restaurants, shops, um, driving traffic to those longtime businesses that have been here for a while. So, um, thank you for your time and all of your efforts, and I hope that you support the, uh, the zoning amendment as in front of you.
