▶ 7:02 Jen Grigoraitis: Um, so I think some of you already have the pleasure of knowing Lindsay. She's a Melrose resident. She and her family are heavily involved in many community activities. Um, she's involved with our Montessori school. She's been a small business owner.
▶ 7:15 Speaker 1: She does a variety of charitable activities and she was actively recruited to the BB estate
▶ 7:20 Jen Grigoraitis: by the fellow board members. I don't know what could speak more highly than having other
▶ 7:24 Speaker 1: people force you into volunteering.
▶ 7:26 Jen Grigoraitis: Um, so I think she brings a passion for this community and trying to, um, make everything more vibrant and exciting and inclusive. And I think she brings substantial business knowledge, um, which as the BB estate is a rental facility, is really important. And I'm just thrilled that her willingness to step up

▶ 7:44 Speaker 3: It's too late now.
▶ 7:46 Kimberly Vandiver: Wonderful. Um, would you like to say a few words as well, Ms. Chisholm?
▶ 7:49 Speaker 3: I think it's a great honor actually to be, um, to be actually somewhat recruited, I guess you could say, um, by my fellow, um, trustees in which, um, it was, it is a great honor to be able to, um, sit with many other people that have such experience in that, um, are in such a great community too, that are invested. And, um, the BB estate is something somewhat of a institution of its own in which it is really important to preserve these, um, historical places. And, um, I really hope to, um, be a great contributor to that for many, many years to come.

▶ 8:33 Manjula Karamcheti: Um, thank you so much for saying yes to being recruited. Absolutely. Uh, so appreciate that. Absolutely. Uh, just curious. Mm-hmm. Total curious question. Is there anything that you would love to see happen at the BB estate?
▶ 8:46 Speaker 3: I would actually, I would like to see somewhat more of more traction or more events occur. 'cause I didn't really realize that that was something of, or somewhat that was a viable or option, um, besides recently having the, that the beer, um, event happen outside. Um, which I think it, 'cause it's such a beautiful space inside that I did not realize that we could have more events inside and have it be more of a viable attraction because it is such a beautiful estate that, um, that was something that, um, my f at the first meeting, I didn't realize that that was something that we could do. So I think that that would be such a great option, say at Christmas time and stuff like that. 'cause it's such a pretty estate Yeah. And lit up and stuff like that. And then now that the police station is gonna be right next door, I don't know, I think it's gonna be such a great highlight too. Mm-hmm. So that's something that I would like to help contribute to.
