▶ 7:16 John N. Tramontozzi: Permission, dear President. I would like to present to you a resolution and an honorary award plaque, and I will show that in a second.
▶ 7:30 John N. Tramontozzi: I just say it's my honor and privilege as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee to present this this evening. But I would say not to let it get to your head since as we all know you're back again next year for Presidency again. But a resolution honoring the President of the Marrow's Bird of Aldermen for the year 2014.
▶ 7:51 John N. Tramontozzi: Offered by myself and signed by every member of the Bird of Aldermen. I can just take out my reading glasses for a second. Whereas, Alderman Donald L. Kahn Jr. has served as President of the Bird of Aldermen for the City of Melrose for the year 2014. His sixth term in that dignified position. And whereas the board congratulates his president, Donald Kahn, for completing his seventh term as Alderman at large in the great city of Melrose. And applauds him for his commitment to public service, commitment that continues his family's tradition. Whereas the board recognizes that President Kahn's dedication to our community extends far beyond his efforts in this chamber. In particular, his 20 years of service to our city as alderman and city solicitor. And whereas President Kahn leads by example, whether it be by thoroughly investigating the issues at hand for our meetings, leading a healthy lifestyle by running almost daily, and a loving and caring husband to April or as a loving father who is of constant support to his twins Donald and Emily and whereas the board shows its appreciation for President Kahn's extensive legal knowledge and colorful commentary especially when sharing his thoughts about the wisdom of the laws imposed upon us by our state legislature be it resolved that we the members of the Bird of Aldermen thank President Kahn for his insightful and generous leadership and therefore be it further resolved that on this day monday december 15 2014 that this resolution signed by each of its members be spread upon the records of the murrow's board of aldermen and that a special copy thereof is prepared and presented to president donald alcon
