All in favor aye thank you very much we have I believe three four orders with us tonight the first one is order two zero one five dash one three two the acceptance of the burn DOJ which I assume is Department of Justice fingerprint machine grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts fund number four five zero four and I believe we have police chief with us this evening and we're under suspension of the rules I believe still so come on forward chief and if you would enlighten us as to this grant excuse me to give

▶ 9:44 Speaker 3: you some background on what fingerprint machine is so everybody understands for the folks at home all all the rest ease or anybody that is brought into the police station is processed through our booking room downstairs and they're all fingerprinted and the reason we fingerprint everyone is because if If they're wanted in another state or another part of Massachusetts, we do not want that person to, obviously, go free or be bailed. The current machine we have is a digital machine and it's reached the end of its life. And we are fortunate this year, we applied for the Byrne Department of Justice grant and we were awarded the grant on April 6th. So I'm here tonight to ask the board to accept the grant. It is a non-matching grant for our equipment and training for the new equipment. I also like to recognize Lieutenant Jim Mulroney. He actually wrote the grant for us, and he is going to manage the grant for the police department.
