▶ 6:54 Jaclyn L. Bird: I believe that we're going to be requesting to place this on hold for a future meeting.
▶ 7:02 Scott M. Forbes: Yes, due to the nature of the order and some of the adjustments from the accounts here, and there is some paperwork here, we are going to place this on hold. So we have a motion to place this on hold by Alderman Byrd.

▶ 7:15 Jaclyn L. Bird: Excuse me, Mr. Chairman. Just to clarify, did we want to place this on hold first, or do we want to hear on the three parts with Mr. Schaffer first?

▶ 7:31 Speaker 3: thank you sorry about that thank you withdraw my motion thank you all um there are um three parts to this order uh two parts to this order that are dpw related the first is a transfer to landscape
▶ 7:40 Speaker 4: supplies the amount of 2650 we work in conjunction with the veterans department in in creating and been dedicating the Korean Memorial this past weekend. The majority of the work was done in house with our in house budget. The veterans department raised a tremendous amount of money on their own to purchase the monument, they purchased the benches. However, there was a shortfall in terms of the plantings and some of the other things that we did. So the 2650 supplements our existing operating budget in parks and forestry and that funding was used at that project.
▶ 8:21 Speaker 4: The $16,000 for facility custodial salaries was an unanticipated retirement that occurred in May. That's the retirement package that went to that employee that was not figured in our budget. It was a custodian that retired.
▶ 8:47 Jaclyn L. Bird: All in favor? I believe those are the only two that relate to public works and there are other orders that are part of this transfer. But this order needs to be updated, I believe, to reflect that. if we could place the balance of the order on hold for our next meeting that would be great
