What the law requires, the general laws and the CMRs, is that there'd be signage posted relative to vehicles waiting in drop-off and pickup areas outside of schools. So that much like construction vehicles and delivery vehicles, that their idling be limited to a few minutes. and if they're going to stay longer than that that they turn off their cars I mean preferably once you come to a stop it would be best if you stop shut your engine down and what I'd like to do is hopefully get this signage posted prior to the start of the school year and by acting on this tonight we'll be able to send it to the traffic commission and hopefully between the traffic commission the public works department we can get these the signage completed and posted great before we
