Quigley I mean she's been very active in Melrose I know firsthand her compassion and her well-keeping that she has for our most vulnerable residents here in Melrose so I would like to just send this forward

Tramontozzi: member of this committee I know miss Quigley personally and I have been in contact with her I know she was on vacation last week but and may have been busy at work since her return she is a ward 1 resident well qualified for the position as a registered nurse herself dealing with the elderly and I know know she'd be a wonderful service to the city and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to see her appointed to the council on aging and again I respectfully request maybe this committee can move it forward thank you I concur wholeheartedly
▶ 6:42 Peter D. Mortimer: wholeheartedly with the comments made by the previous two speakers, my fellow aldermen. Of course, Martha Quigley is a wonderful woman, and I'm not a member of this committee. But just a thought, if you think it's worth the trouble, you might want to just recess the committee and then call it back. If she does happen to show up a little bit late, she might just want to make a few comments before. Since we're all here for other meetings tonight, it might not be too much trouble to reconvene, but we will have to reconvene and adjourn later if she doesn't show up at all. Okay, to the voting members. That's just a comment if you want to do that parliamentarily speaking.
