▶ 1:27:09 Speaker 3: statement except to say that I've lived in Melrose for just about 20 years and have kind of poked around the edges trying to figure out where I might make the most impact I've flirted a little bit with some of the volunteer work at the schools I've played around a little with the friends of the library and rewrote their most recent set of bylaws but I hadn't really found just the right place to make a contribution that spoke directly to me and so when a position opened up in the Board of Trustees at the library I saw my opportunity to both complement the work that I already do at Simmons as a professor of children's literature where I belong to lots of children's book award committees and to the American Library Association and to bring a unique expertise in connection to the city of Melrose thank you thank you any members of the committee have
