▶ 1:10 Jennifer L. Lemmerman: Public participation is now closed. We have one item on our agenda, as I mentioned. Order number 2017-6, the appointment of Ellen P. Connolly, 7 Union Street, to the Melrose Housing Authority for a five year term. Said term to expire on the first Monday in March 2019.

▶ 1:43 Jennifer L. Lemmerman: Everyone? Good evening, thank you very much for being here with us tonight, Ms. Connolly. Would you like to give a brief statement about yourself to the committee?
▶ 1:51 Speaker 3: Just that I've lived in Melrose since 1982. I've been a member of the Affordable Housing Corporation for several years. My interest in local housing started when we had an affordable housing task force, and I work in the affordable housing and economic development area and have an interest in furthering housing and economic development in the city.
▶ 2:26 Jennifer L. Lemmerman: That's great. Thank you very much. Motion to recommend. Second. We have a motion to recommend by Alderman Boisselle, seconded by Alderman Inferna. Before we take a vote, we do have some discussion. Alderman Inferna?
▶ 2:35 Gail Infurna: Thank you very much, Madam Chairman. I just want to say welcome and thank you for volunteering for this commission. I had the pleasure of working with Ellen back many years ago in the affordable housing task force. And her knowledge was always very well respected and important, a good addition to the group there. So I think this is a great addition. So thank you very much.

You and your family obviously have a history of serving the community, and we appreciate that you're willing to come back and do that again, especially in a field that you're so familiar with and so well-versed in. And also, I do wanna just offer our thanks and appreciation to Joan Cassidy. I believe you're filling her seat.
