▶ 5:29 Speaker 5: order number 2719 is for acceptance of a grant issued by the Massachusetts Board of library commissioners through the library services and Technology Act direct grant program I'd like to take just a moment to commend the work of Mary Ann Stanton and Jill Connolly who are the children's and teens librarians at the library they put in an exceptional amount of work for this competitive grant and they really work to ensure that their grant program will really meet the needs of our specific Melrose community the science is Everywhere grant will focus on serving our 3rd to 8th grade populations through increased exposure to science and technology. We will be partnering with John Morris, the chair of the science department for grades 6 through 12 over at the schools, as well as several local science-oriented institutions. We will be able to purchase a small mobile makerspace cart for active projects, as well as add to our science collection areas for the target age group the trustees of Melrose Public Library will be making the local commitment in support of the grant by purchasing a science flicks database which is geared towards late elementary through early high school students and we're very excited to begin working on the grant this year thank you very much we have
