▶ 1:57 Speaker 2: the floor for questions from the committee sure I'm a constituent of alderman Boisselle living at Country Club Road I've lived in Melrose 32 years now I think and the mayor called me not so long ago and asked me to be on the Housing Authority board I was both surprised and flattered I do have a fairly extensive background in both housing issues and low-income issues I've basically been a lawyer working on behalf of poor people for my 40-year legal career I worked at the Mass Law Reform Institute for 16 years where I guess I could say dabbled in housing law because mostly some of my colleagues were housing law experts including my good friend Hank Abrashka who became a housing court judge I've been dealing with dhcd my entire legal career although mostly on the energy side but somewhat on the housing side of dhcd i have met with jim holt the executive director who i guess you must all look better than i do but he strikes me as doing a very good job i even said what can i add by being on your board but um you know the mayor asked me to do it and i i'll try to add something to what jim already does apparently
