Zwirko: i just wanted to uh note for the folks uh the public that there is a letter that we've received here from the chief of police chief lyle and um i'll just read it here since he couldn't be with us this evening it states the city of mellish police department has been approved by the commonwealth of massachusetts office of public safety and security to receive the fiscal year 18 pedestrian and bicycle safety grant in the amount of five thousand five hundred two dollars eighty one cents which we will receive in the form of a non-matching grant these funds will be used to assign patrol officers to our business district areas and to enforce motor vehicle violations we are also exploring the use of the equipment portion of this grant to purchase solar-powered crosswalk signs these patrols and signs will assist us in maintaining safer crosswalks and roadways for pedestrian and bicycle traffic that's all i had i just wanted to read that letter for
