It is 8.16 p.m. on Monday, March 23rd, and the meeting of the Melrose City Council is called to order. I am President Grigoraitis in accordance, sorry, pursuant to Governor Baker's March 12th, 2020 order suspending certain provisions of the open meeting law. The governor's March 15th, 2020 order, which was further amended today, March 23rd, imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place. This meeting of the city council is being conducted via remote participation. This meeting will be posted in an audio or video recording will be made available via the city of Melrose website and on MMTV and mmtv3.org. While we do not have public comment listed on this meeting agenda, I would like to entertain a motion to suspend rule 29A just out of an abundance of caution. President Grigoraitis, can I take the role first, please? Yes, you may, sorry. That's okay. I apologize, it's hard not to be able to see you.
