▶ 6:48 Robb Stewart: Madam president at this time, I'd like to motion for immediate consideration.
▶ 6:55 Jen Grigoraitis: Of this order, so we have a motion for immediate consideration of order 2021 dash 57. are there any objections?
▶ 7:03 Jen Grigoraitis: Okay, seeing none the order is now before us.
▶ 7:16 Robb Stewart: So, madam president, I would like to. Sorry, take a moment. Give me a moment. I'd like to present this order, which is a resolution honoring. Jennifer Grigoraitis, president of the city council. For the year 2020, and this is offered by myself with the council, Rob Stewart and council at large. And it reads, whereas City President Jennifer Grigoraitis has served as President of the City Council for the City of Melrose for the year 2020, and whereas the City Council congratulates President Grigoraitis for completing her first year as Ward 6 Counselor for the City of Melrose and appreciates her commitment to serving Melrose, And whereas the board recognizes that President Grigoraitis dedication to our community extends well beyond her efforts in this chamber. And whereas that President Grigoraitis led the city council, which had nine new members elected in 2020 and provided guidance, acumen, and respect to all members of the council. and whereas that President Grigoraitis oversaw the Council during unprecedented times in which a global pandemic impacted all aspects of life across our nation, our state, and our city and swiftly adapted to conduct the affairs of the Council in a remote environment.
▶ 8:58 Leila Migliorelli: And whereas President Grigoraitis has demonstrated her interest in the community as a past member of the Melrose Chamber of Commerce, PTO volunteer, one Melrose Steering Committee and Melrose Education Foundation. And whereas that President Grigoraitis contributes to the civil service in the Commonwealth in her role as the chief of staff at the Massachusetts Office of Victims Assistance. And whereas that President Grigoraitis husband, Bill and children, Graham and Reed are also part of the Melrose community and will always have a home here. And be it resolved that we, the members of the city council do hereby express our sincere appreciation to president Grigoraitis for her able administration of the office of the president and for office for her efforts on behalf of the city of melrose and in recognition thereof direct that the gavel wielded by her be suitably inscribed and presented to her and be it further resolved that on this the 21st day of december of the year 2020 a copy of this resolution be spread upon the records of the city council and the special copy be signed by each member of the council and presented to president Grigoraitis retiring president of the melrose city council so thank you jen uh council madam president um for all your hard work this year and i believe you have a gift um with you when counselor migliorelli tells you to bring your present
