I'm Councilor Stewart, the chair, also joining me, our vice chair, uh, councilor Williams, as well as, uh, co uh, president Elli, ex-officio and non-voting members, counselors, Vandiver and Chetty. This serves as a notice of a quorum for the record, and in Accord, uh, in accordance with the open meeting law. This meeting is being recorded and broadcast live on MMTV because we have a, um, oh, and we also have remotely, uh, councilor Romanul. Uh, so wave to the camera. Uh, councilor. Thank you. Alright, so, uh, because we have, uh, a remote member, all, um, uh, all motions and, and so forth will be done by roll call.

Thank you for being here. Um, I just wanted to take a few minutes, um,
▶ 4:02 to introduce everybody to Linda Reed, who has been working here almost a year as of Wednesday. Um, she is been a huge asset to the 30 Clerk's office. I started there beginning of September, I mean, beginning of October. And, um, she was just holding up the fort for the city clerk's office for the city, for the elections office. Um, I can't say enough things about her. She is the, probably one of the first ones in this building, and she would be one of the last ones in this building if, um, if I allowed her to be. Um, so she has an amazing, strong work ethic. Um, she has a heart of gold. Um, she's very well equipped for this position. Um, great disposition with the, with the residents in town,
▶ 4:50 with the department heads, um, with anyone who calls in. And the phone never stops ringing all day long. So she has the patience of a saint. Um, she was extremely patient with me coming on board along with others from the outside, stopping what she's doing throughout the day and making sure that she took the time to train us on what the procedures and policies were within the organization. She never complained once about that. Um, I can't tell We were only successful because of her. Truly. Um, she is, um, a, a, a great teammate and we work extremely well together, and I strongly, strongly endorse, um, Linda Reed to be the assistant city clerk for the City of Melrose. ▶ 5:37 Leila Migliorelli: to say Linda Reed? No, I've Just been enjoy working with you. It's been great. Mm-hmm. I didn't know if I wanted to open it up to all of you, so any of you could, you know, ask her any questions. And I wanted to make sure that I put, um, a face and name together for all of you. Thank you, Madam Clerk. Any questions from the committee? Nope. President Elli. Thank you. Um, Ms. Reed, thank you Linda, for being here. And, um, I really appreciate Tangie's recommendation, hearing all the great work you, um, have done in the clerk's office. And, um, just curious if there's something that, in your position, having that kind of like bird's eye view of a lot of projects going on that you're looking forward
▶ 6:20 to, maybe digging into more as the assistant city clerk? Absolutely. Yes. Yeah. Um, I dunno if you could give an example of, of something in particular. Um, I'm looking forward to getting into like more, um, administrative type things. Mm-hmm. Um, I, I feel like I was more of doing the daily routine, but getting more into like, maybe a, um, supervisory role for the next person who's taking my position. Mm-hmm. So, great. Yeah.
