▶ 17:31 Robb Stewart: January 13th, 2025. This is a meeting of the finance committee. I'm Consul Stewart, the chair. Also joining me tonight, our counselors, Jamine Reky Roman, and President Elli Exofficio. We have non-voting members, counselors, Garey Chetty, Hamilton, Occhio, and fan with us. This serves as a notice of a quorum for the record, uh, in accordance with the open meeting law. This meeting is being recorded and broadcast live on MMTV for public comment. I will motion by unanimous consent to open the floor for public comment. Seeing no objections, we are now open for public comment. This is a portion of the meeting where the public may come forward and speak on tonight's items and comments are also, uh,
▶ 18:25 Robb Stewart: to express other viewpoints are welcome. Seeing that there's no one in the audience, is there anybody online? There is not. Uh, if there's no objection, I'll motion to close. Uh, by un unanimous consent, uh, public comment. Seeing no objection, we are now closed for public comment. Uh, we have one item on the agenda this evening. Uh, we have ID number 1, 2, 3, 4, 2. And this is pursuant to NGL Chapter 41, section one, nine. I authorizing the city clerk to receive additional compensation for performing per for performing the services of Clerk of Committees. Madam President. Thank you. Um, Mr. Chair. Um, just so for for my colleagues, it says in the order you can see the body of the order and what it is that we're accepting,
▶ 19:18 Leila Migliorelli: and just a little bit more clarity on this. Um, as you can read that, this is a, um, temporary, um, stipend. And in Massachusetts general law, I'm working with the city solicitor. There is the opportunity for city clerks to receive additional compensation for other duties, um, that they may take on from time to time. So, um, given that the city clerk has been currently fo um, filling in for the Clerk of Committees as she is doing tonight, um, this would be the opportunity to compensate her for that time through this, this, um, statute in, um, state law. And then once the time, once the position has been filled and it has been posted today, um, on our city website, um, then the, the stipend will be removed.
▶ 20:12 Robb Stewart: So, um, that is, Thank you Madam President. Are there any questions? What is the will of the committee? I'll make a motion to, um, accept, um, MGL L Chapter 41, section 19. I as state with a language as stated in the order. Second, We have a motion to accept, uh, MGL Chapter 41, section one nine I to authorize the city clerk seconded by Council Vanderville under discussion. All in favor? Aye. Opposed? Okay. This will go to the full council. Uh, that is the last item without objection. I'll motion to close the, um, to adjourn. No objections. We are adjourned. Good evening.
