Joining me are Vice Chair Hamilton and voting members, Councillor Karm Chetty and Councillor Garipay, as well as, uh, president Exofficio m. This provides a notice of the quorum for the record, um, in accordance with the open meeting law. This meeting is being recorded and broadcast on our local cable access channel mm MTV. It'll be available for future viewing through the City of Melrose's website@cityofmelrose.org. The public comment portion of the meeting is where any member of the public may speak to items on the agenda At this time with unanimous consent, I will open the public comment portion of our meeting.

Uh, if there are no objections with unanimous consent, I'll now close the public comment portion of our meeting. Um, tonight we have the city engineer, um, Bonnie Reese here to speak with us as well as I believe a National Grid representative. Um, could you please introduce yourselves and, uh, summarize the project for the committee? I'm Vni Reese, the city engineer. I'm a distribution design in molding for National Grid. Okay. And, uh, can you tell us, uh, uh, give us a summary of the project? Yes. Uh, actually this is an, an existing service in six 60 Main Street. In that property, there are two, two houses. Uh, in the first one, uh, there are like four apartments and the, in the red one, there are two apartments. So actually they already installed the AC
▶ 2:30 and the heating system, but they haven't been able to use it because the existing service is so small, it's only number two size wire. So now they want to use the service and they are asking, eh, to have another meter to have each, uh, apartment has their own, uh, surface meter. So in that case, uh, we will need to change all the size of the cable of sizing the cable and the conduit because the existing conduit is not, uh, big enough to rewire that. Thank you. Given the location of Main Street and Emerson Street, could you just give a very brief, very simple like overview of like
▶ 3:22 how the intersection is impacted and about how long it takes? Yes. Actually this is a job that can be done in our, in our in only one day because it only is gonna be in the sidewalk. So the manhole actually is in the, is in the west side of the, on the main street is not gonna be crossing over the whole street. So it's gonna be between the, the, the sidewalk going directly to the, to the, to the property. So it will be like 12 feet. Great. Thank you so much. Appreciate It. Oh, you're welcome. We spoke earlier, but, uh, one quick item on the sidewalk repair where it's Main Street, it says it's gonna be
▶ 4:07 immediate upon completion. Is it immediate upon completion with just, um, hot top and then coming back with concrete? Or is it gonna be concrete that same day? Well, eh, that's something that I need. It depends what, what do you want? Because actually the, in these cases, the customer, we only asking the petition on behalf the customer. So the customer is gonna make all the civil work. So it has to be on your decision. What do you want? Eh, how, how's gonna be like the reparation to be done? So I thought Typically they'll, um, use asphalt that same day. Um, just to have a finished surface. And then, uh, when they have enough panels to get a concrete truck full of concrete, they'll come and,

And when we say, um, they will, when we, when they have enough, is that the city or is that National Grid? National Grid, yeah. That's separate from the city's sidewalk program.
