▶ 11:59 Jack Eccles: Good evening. This is the meeting of the Finance Committee. Uh, we're starting a bit, a little bit late this evening. Um, I am counselor Jack Eckles, the chair serving this evening. Joining me are voting members, counselor Stewart and President gti, president Greg Oficio and Counselor Reky. This provides a notice of Quorum for the record in accordance with the Open Meeting law. This meeting is being recorded and broadcast on our local cable access channel. MTV is live streamed on the M M T V website and available for future viewing through the City of Melrose meeting portal. The first item on tonight's agenda is public comment. This is a portion of the meeting where any member of the public can come forward

Well, through unanimous consent, we'll open public comment and seeing no one we, through unanimous consent, we will close it. Um, the first order on tonight's agenda is order 2024 dash seven. Calling the city election for Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Gymnasium Complex. Any comments, or what is the will of the committee? Thank you, Mr. Chair. Uh, I just wanted to, uh, make the point that, uh, although I, I do not fully support having the, uh, election centrally located, and I think it's, um, uh, taking away from the voters, uh, that have a little more difficulty getting there. Mm-hmm. Um, I will support this because I think it's important to have the election going forward, but I just wanted to make that point that, um, I would like to see consideration in the future to bring, uh, certain voting polls back to their original location.
