Seeing no objection public comment is now open members of the public wishing to address the council may do so at this time. The clerk is there anyone remotely I'm not at this time considering that no member of the public has come forth It's the chair intent to close public comment if there is no objection. Will you please read the first border? order 2023-52 election of the president of the Melrose city council for the year 2023 on December 5th 2022 at a non-binding caucus

MacMaster: consulate Jennifer grigoritis was nominated and subsequently elected a binding vote is now required to formally elect the city council president for calendar year 2023 at this time. The chair will entertain a motion to open the floor to nominations. Motion motion open the floor made by councilist analysis seconded by councilor Stewart all in favor. And he opposed okay. The floor is now open for nominations. Does any member wish to put forth the name of someone for office of President Council? Sanela? Yes, I would like to make a motion denominate constantly Jennifer gregoritis. second Counselor sonella has put Consular grigoritis's name into nomination seconded by Consular Carmen Shady. All in favor aye any opposed.

I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to again serve as council president. I want to begin by thanking each of you for your support and your confidence in me and for your continued service to Melrose. Please pass along my thanks to your families as well. It is a privilege to serve this community in all residents and I am committed to doing everything in my power to make Melrose an even better place to live work and raise a family if elected as we move forward together, I pledge to work collaboratively with all of you on the council and to listen carefully to the concerns and ideas of our constituents. We are all here to serve the greater good and I believe that by working together we can achieve great things from Melrose. The opportunity I see before us in the next year is to make collaborative thoughtful data-driven decisions
