I am councilor Sean McMaster the chair of the committee joining me this evening are voting members of the committee Vice chair Williams Councilor Eccles Council of garapay consulate the machete and President. At this time, I would entertain a motion to open the floor to public comment so moved. second a motion made by Vice chair Williams seconded by President sonella all in favor. I any opposed. Okay. We are now open for public comment. This is the time of the meeting where any members of the public can come forward to speak on the one matter that we have

Seeing no members of the public who have come forward. I would entertain a motion to close the floor to public comment second. motion to close the floor to public comment made by Vice chair Williams seconded by counselor sonella all in favor, and he opposed okay public comment is now closed again. We have one order on tonight's agenda that is petition 2023-1 Petition of Mass Electric Company doing business as National Grid and Verizon for joint poll locations as shown on plan attached number three zero, four four zero seven three one. I believe we have missed Reese from the engineering department here

Thank you at the floor is yours. petition in front of you for a two new polls on Ashland Street and relocation of a third pole As shown on the sketch attached to the grain of location. I've also just passed out a list of conditions from the engineering department to end grid that deal with primarily notification of the residents as well as cleanup when they're done with the work. And there is one there are two actually. conditions on there to provide safe access for children walking to school and for the an access to the private property for
▶ 2:56 the homeowners who live on Ashland Street the three poles that they are proposing will be located in the grass strip between the sidewalk and the roadway and our should not impact the new sidewalk or the new roadway at all. So we as the National Grid as Mark these out in the field we from the engineering department of reviewed them. We don't see any potential impacts to driveways or other properties. So we're fine with these locations as marked. Mr. Akaguaro, is there anything that you would like to add? No, that's all I think when I said it though. Yeah. We're just relocating the existing pole and adding two new more poles. Okay. Yeah, so the pole will relocating the one we're taking out. Well, how long will that be in the ground? Will that be taken right out? Because we have a lot of double poles all through the city and yeah, the challenges most of those polls they are jointly owned between National Grid and Verizon So the plan is for National Grid to install a new polls and Verizon to take out all poles. So, I mean, it's more in the hands of Verizon because National Group we go, right, you know, we do our

So installing these new poles. Is it more of a benefit for National Grid of Verizon? is for National Grid where obviously every other part is going to benefit but we are primarily the ones initiates in this move. It's for what we'll call like a video projects. For the area here. Okay, and looks like it's on a court in the corner of the block between Franklin and Ellsworth. Is there how many how many houses are on that strip? Right there is just one property or yeah, just one the three 44 Franklin streets on that side of the room. Yeah, and none of the houses face Ash

Yeah, wait, he doesn't have the property number on there. But I guess my question is on the new poll is going to be on the side of these properties or in the front. I'm not sure where the front of the property is based on the map. Would you like to see a picture? Sure. I have the map. I just don't see where where the houses are. Show the locations of the flags. It's for voltage regulation and around the area. So whenever there's
▶ 7:30 Manjula Karamcheti: more like instability the equipment we're going to install is going to help manage that so we don't run into challenges in the future. Our plan Engineers do like review on a periodic basis to see where we need this equipment. So we'll just identified. This is one here that needs it so we don't run out of Pi in the future. Yeah. And have the residents in that area already. been five that this is gonna happening. And yeah from I saw the I believe notice would have been sent to the up to their bought us the residents around the area. Okay, and I haven't actually heard from any residents in word one about this going on and that's sure if people are aware necessarily if I could I'd like to make a motion.
▶ 8:19 Manjula Karamcheti: To send this to the full Council without a recommendation because there is a public hearing happening and just want to make sure that anyone who does have a concern has the opportunity to to speak at the public meeting before the the whole Council approves or does not approve second. So there's a motion on the floor by Council of karmeshetti to move this to the full Council without recommendation seconded by counselor Eccles before we vote on that. Is there anything Miss Reese or Mr. Alkar that you'd like to add? I would just Add that we we do have a requirement in our conditions for them to notify the immediate Butters 48 hours in advance of doing any work and to coordinate with those residents on
