First item on. Our agenda tonight is public comments without objection. We can open up public comment the support of the meeting where anyone can speak to matter on tonight's agenda of the health education welfare committee.

To not believe Mr. Egan is here with us this evening. We could either suspend the rules to hear from the mayor or what is will the committee at this time. I know I'm pretty sure he had a conflict this evening of Fairly long standing but you have them materials before you in the packet Mr. Egan you will appreciate Mr. Chairman is a God is undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts University of Massachusetts at Amherst Dan God. His master's at UMass Boston and honestly his his professional training. Well it while outstanding it's not particularly Jermaine to this position. I should say called Old Time Melrose which is devoted to really Disparate parts of of Melrose history with some fascinating photos and other information. So while he's in certain respects lay person his passion is there and his past Devotion to talking about Mouse history and learning what he can about it. So right thank you again, Mr. Chairman, if you've had an opportunity to look at Ms. Robert's qualifications and her letter I hesitate to use the phrase no brainer, but by professional experience and by educational background, she is really if you were going to build a candidate for the most historic commission. This is the person that you would you would see sitting before you unhappily you now do she has an undergraduate degree in history and has a masters
▶ 4:14 Paul Brodeur: in historic preservation from Boston University along with several internships and other experiences that are directly germane to the work of the commission and also in our inner day job works with private products just private clients private private property owners to advise them on condition. Refurbishing Rehabilitation of their properties and as a bonus, she can read architectural plans and do some of the technical things that can be tremendously helpful to some of the other member of the commission that have a different skill set. MacMaster: my own house that the 70s had done a number on and now it looks like a Victorian house like it should so I look forward to helping Melrose residents learn more about their properties make recommendations for how they can bring their properties back to life historically. And yeah happy to do it. Councilor Master, thank you, Mr. Chair. Good evening. Thank you for being here in terms of your professional background. Have you had any experience and demolition review? That's a an area that the individual that you will be replacing very much tried to advance. And with whom I worked very closely and trying to do that just any thoughts on that in terms of background that you bring to it or just general thoughts on the topic
▶ 5:52 Shawn M. MacMaster: of demolition review. Yeah. I don't have professional experience with demolition delay, but I do have experience from my master's degree from my studies. We learned extensively about the demo delay by laws. And so I'll need to catch up a little bit on it as far as you know how it goes in Melrose, but I'm sure I'll catch on quickly. I am sorry that we are losing Mr. Hamilton who's going to understand it wanted to be reappointed these nominations of the prerogative the mayor my consistent counselor. I would suggest that we don't speak on behalf of Mr. Hamilton because he communicated to me quite the opposite early on that. He was interested in stepping away because of his responsibilities

MacMaster: on the folk school committee and other endeavors that he that wasn't communicated to me recently and that's why I felt compelled to say it, but that being said is, you know, Mr. Mayor. I've been supportive of all your nominees. I think it's your prerogative who comes before us, and I'm happy to support the candidate tonight. I thank you for your interest. I think you'll bring a lot of energy and fresh ideas to the historical commission, and I want to thank you for your interest in serving the city of Melrose. Thank you for that.
