This meeting is being held remotely pursuant to Governor Baker's June 16th, 2021 extension of COVID-19 measures that suspended certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law. I just briefly, I'll be really brief, want to thank Councilor Grigoraitis for the nomination and my fellow councillors for your continued support service in this role. I do accept the nomination obviously, and appreciate the vote of confidence to continue for another term as president. It's truly an honor and a privilege to serve the residents of Melrose with all of you. And I want to congratulate fellow Councillors who won re-election. Special congratulations and a warm welcome

And just lastly, on behalf of Council and the community, really, I want to thank our outgoing Councillors, Jeff McNaught, Corey Thomas, and John Tramitozzi. I think we're all familiar with President Kennedy's inaugural address in 1961 where he said, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. And all three of them have really stepped up to answer the call for this community. So although they're not logged in right now to watch, I'm sure they'll watch this later on tonight. So thank you.
