Call to Order Pursuant to Governor Baker's Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law and the Governor's Order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the Board of Registrars of Voters will be conducted via remote technology. Review of May 20, 2021 state site survey report on accessibility and action plan. Registrars and Department of Public Works personnel, Director Proakis Ellis and Assistant Director Jim Troup, review polling location accessibility matters as noted in the report of Board of Registrars of Voters Page 1 Printed 8/2/2021 Remote meeting Minutes June 9, 2021 Secretary of State representative Bridget Simmons Murphy. Staff advises remediation of the Winthrop School is not feasible at this time. Brief comment on ground level entrance at City Hall; the delay was due to manufacturer and fiberglass is not an option per the Historic Commission. The cracked concrete pad outside the start of the entryway will be replaced. DPW offers their perspective that a single central location (for voting) is more efficient - the upper parking lot would be exclusively held for voter parking not teacher parking if there is centralized voting. Elevator contract discussion. 2. Status - 2020 Federal census reprecincting data. It is anticipated that the State will release the reprecincting information/data by early fall 2021 (possibly Sept.).
