Garipay (MG) Commissioner Douglas E. MacDonald (DM) Commissioner Daniel O’Neill (DO) Angela Pisacreta, Cemetery Administrator (AP) Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. A motion to call the meeting to order was made by MG and seconded by DM. All in favor. Review of Minutes The minutes of the meeting of June 20, 2019 were reviewed. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by DO and seconded by MG. All in favor. Public Participation A motion to open the meeting for public participation was made by MG and seconded by DO. All in favor. No residents were in attendance. A motion to close the meeting for public participation was made by MG and seconded by DM. All in favor. Financial Report/Inventory The financial report for the balance of the balance of June 2019 compiled by Angela Pisacreta was reviewed. AP also submitted a copy of the departmental payment schedule with a detailed breakdown of how the deposits were dispersed. A motion to accept the report was made by MG and seconded by DO. All in favor. Old Business Update on Vesper Avenue surveying project MG informed the commission that he has no additional information at this time. Update on damaged headstone repair AP informed the commission that she contacted Woodlawn Memorials and is waiting for them to visit the site and assess the damage to the headstone. Update on Pine Banks property line issue MG sent another communication to Mayor Gail Infurna regarding the appropriation of $30,000.00 for trees bordering the Pine Banks dog park. He stated that the Pine Banks Commission should be responsible, or at the very least match dollar for dollar for the cost of the plantings. The email communication dated July 15, 2019 was read and placed on file and made part of the record. Update on Eagle Scout project AP informed the commission that Ben Parker stopped in to retrieve information left by Commissioner Daniel O’Neill regarding deceased members of the Police Department who were service veterans. Update on payment approval for Kevin’s Greenhouses MG informed the other members of the commission that the DPW was responsible for payment of the flowers purchased at Kevin’s Greenhouses for the planting beds at the entrances of the cemetery. Items not reasonably anticipated by Chairman at time of posting The commission voted to approve the selling of two (2) graves of a four (4) grave lot owned by Louis R. Scarpa. A motion was made by MG and seconded by DO to buy back the two (2) graves at the cost at the time of purchase. All were in favor. The commission voted not to approve the request made by Jon Scarborough to purchase another preneed grave next to his wife in the Knollwood section of the cemetery. The commission accommodated Mr. Scarborough back in January and allowed the purchase a second grave at that time. A motion was made by MG and seconded by DO not to allow the purchase. All were in favor. . A motion to adjourn at 5:16 p.m. was made by MG and seconded by DM. All in favor.
