Present are Committee Members Alderman Medeiros, Alderman Zwirko, and ex-officio member President Lemmerman. ▶ 2:04 Gail Infurna: morning mayor Inferno would you like to begin sure I will just start off thank you very much I'm here to present Cynthia Silvera looking for the office of election commissioner to fill the unexpired term of Steve truly who we thank for his many years of service on that commission Cynthia is a lifelong Melrosian who's been very interested in this and has been involved in the Republican City Committee and with that I'm going to have Cynthia kind of give her a quick Reader's Digest of her resume because I know you all have it there good evening everybody Cindy Silvera as the mayor said I'm a lifelong resident of Melrose with the exception of a few years away at BU and a couple years just after my I got married 25 years ago we lived in North
▶ 2:53 Christine Casatelli: stand over we're raising our sons here I've done a lot of volunteer work over the years for the Melrose Wakefield Hospital st. Mary's School Malden Catholic High School where my boys attended my 92 year old mum just sold her our childhood home on the Linfels Parkway she is living down at jack flats and board five four four of the five I have four brothers four of the five of us are living in Melrose raising our families and when I got the call to see if I'd be interested in filling the vacancy I said yes by all means so I'm happy to be here and you could see you know on my resume my most recent I worked in the administrative office at Malden Catholic High School, and before that I took many years off to raise the boys.
▶ 3:56 Monica C. Medeiros: One's graduating a week from Saturday from Endicott, and the youngest, Grant, just finished up his freshman year at UMass Amherst. Any members of the committee wishing to ask questions? Thank you. Thank you very much. to kind of give some background uh the election the registrars we're required by state law to have an equal number uh by party of each of the major party so uh cindy be filling the republican position there thank you since that's why i mentioned it because i thank you for explaining that and uh i've known miss silveira for a long time and i know she'd do an excellent job in this capacity we're certainly happy to see you know more equal representation fully in place and I know we didn't so I have a full slate for the override vote so

Zwirko: it's it's great to to see that vacancy filled and I know she'll do a great job Monica thank you any further comments yeah I'll echo some of the same comments that all the managers made really happy to have you before us this evening you know impeccable resume looking forward to your service and also appreciate that you know this committee you know the role the Commission plays is very important in terms of the integrity of our elections and it's it's you know it's a small role but it's not an insignificant role so thank you very much for that thank you very much for your service um what what in particular about the Board of Registrar's of voters appeal to you well I've done a lot of volunteer work and I just thought when I was called upon that we gave it some
