With us this evening, members of the Finance Committee include Alderman Tramontozzi, Alderman McMaster, and President Zwirko. Non-voting members of this committee that are here tonight include Alderman Mortimer, Alderman Boisselle, Alderman Medeiros, Alderman Bewtra. This meeting is being recorded and you can watch us on MMTV and also through the city of meadows website in accordance with our massachusetts general open meeting law motion to open the floor for public comment second we had a motion to open the floor for public comment made by alderman chairman tozy seconded by alderman mcmaster all those in favor

Forbes: any opposed this is the portion of our meeting where anybody from the general public can approach the table and speak on behalf of the one order that's before us this evening motion to close public participation second seeing nobody willing to come forward we got a motion to closed public participation made by alderman trim and tozy i need a second from the committee by alderman mcmaster all those in favor all right any opposed public comments is now concluded we do have one order before us tonight it is order number two zero one nine dash one two it's acceptance of the fiscal 2018 to 2022 traffic enforcement and equipment grant from the commonwealth of massachusetts executive office of public safety and securities highway safety

Forbes: division to fund number four zero two three motion to uh suspend the rules to hear from chief lyle second we got a motion to suspend the rules made by alderman Tramontozzi seconded by alderman mcmaster all those in favor any opposed rules are suspended chief thank you for being here tonight and then we got some paperwork that are associated with the order but if you could just for the people watching at home just give us kind of a summary of what we're looking at that'd be very Very appreciative. This is a grant that we've had for a number of years and it continues through 2022. We're getting bits and pieces as far as finances for this as funding becomes available. And we just received funding for equipment, and it's approximately $4,160.50.
▶ 2:13 I can give you an explanation of what we're going to purchase, if you'd like. Okay. Two radar units, one's going to be a laser, the other will be a handheld unit. A PBT, which is a portable breath test. It's just another sobriety test that an officer would give in the field. Four tint meters for tint on glass on motor vehicles, windshields, rear windows, side windows, etc. And then two fatal vision goggles, basically they simulate a person under the influence of alcohol. We'll use those at community meetings or in the schools. And that comes out to approximately $4,160.50. That's great. Questions from committee members? Alderman Tramontozzi, please.
