I'm Bobby Colleton. for national grid i'm the project supervisor for this project could you describe the project what what the work will entail the dates on which the work is expected to be done the hours of work and anything else that might be relevant to the board's consideration yes sir so it's 1600 feet approximately and the purpose of it is to tie two of our high pressure mains together to reinforce the low pressure system for the neighborhoods that use gas in that district the reason behind that is several of the neighborhoods are dead-ended low-pressure mains so to maintain a reliable service we want to reinforce that structure by bringing it from the Wakefield border to the
▶ 25:08 regulator station at Franklin and at Warren at Franklin it would be weekday work 7 a.m. start to 3 30 finish usually they're out of there off the street by 3 30. this work would not entail any service work it is strictly a reinforcement main through that that neighborhood so there will be no service interruptions there will be no tie overs any service work whatsoever like i said again it would be weekday work 7 a.m to 3 30. per engineering we would not be doing this for winter work at their request so it would be spring at the earliest that we would start and have you seen the memorandum dated december 4th 2017 authored by miss prowakus ellis uh yes sir i have okay okay thank you sir we're going to invite you back in a few minutes
▶ 25:59 for questions anyone else who wishes to speak on this order my name is julia chen i live at 39 woodland avenue uh one of the things i've come before the traffic commission before because we have a high volume of traffic on woodland avenue in the morning we also because of repeated paving on our street no longer have curbs on our street and we have children walking to school so with construction early in the morning i would like the board to consider that when this repaving happens that the curbs be reinstalled on woodland avenue as well i understand the order i looked at the uh the entry on the website from when the board first considered this motion and it was estimated as negligible cost to the city um i think that's worth looking at if we're going

Tramontozzi: relative to the project alderman Tramontozzi tozy um yes so you heard the request about the uh start times it said yes so uh your firm on the start time it being 7 30. uh we can look at the traffic volume we're per the memorandum or per the letter from engineering it says that we have to do a traffic management plan with the police department and engineering prior to the start so we can definitely look at the times and we can adjust those times if needed no early not really starting like you like sometimes it has happened in the past staging area is it going to be is there a requirement for you having equipment on site during the period of time yes there will be a requirement for equipment on type and also for pipe for staging our pipe forward

▶ 52:14 bluebird hill lane and can you describe the scope of the work the duration uh the hours of operation and whatnot please uh the first stage of the project will be to get the new uh pipe off the road on forest street as quickly as possible um we'll be working at the intersection of bluebird hill lane at forest street uh the tie-in will occur on the near side uh the same side as blue hill lane um the hours of operation will probably be between 8 00 a.m and 3 30 i would say um was there anything else how long will the work entail in terms of uh it would probably take between three to five days um i would anticipate probably three days thank you work on forest street we may call you back in a minute for questions is there
▶ 53:06 anybody else who wishes to speak on this order this practice ellis does the city have anything to say relative to this one um one item of note is that um and i'm not 100 sure the records that we have from national grid are 100 accurate but our records show that there's plastic mean coming from lebanon street out to a little ways down forest street and then it switches to a cast iron main and it's only a 65 foot section of cast iron and it appears to be in that section where the proposal is to tie in so we're requesting that that 65 feet also get replaced at the same time just to clean that up since we're trying to get through any areas where we're working in and eliminate the cast iron main the only other item of note is that the
▶ 54:03 um the submittal to the city clerk's office said tying into the six inch bare steel but i think that's yep so uh the entrance to blu-ray hill lane is right in front of where the cast iron main transitions to bare steel and when the job was created by national grid and initially there was a description made for the job they weren't sure where that entrance was going to be in relation to where the bare steel and cast iron transitioned on forest street so later on when the design was created by engineering and it was mapped they um the the mapping showed that it was actually in front of the cast iron and not the bare steel okay great thank you chair would entertain a motion to conclude the public hearing portion of discussion second alderman mortimer
