▶ 1:52 uh chief thank you alderman lemon you have the floor good evening this is our our annual The whole EMD grant slash training grant, when I say EMD, it's a medical evaluation. So I guess the best way to describe it is if a 911 call comes into the police department for a medical call, we transfer it to Cataldo Ambulance, their EMD resource. They tier the call, whether it's an ALS call or a BLS call, and it comes back to the fire department and respond accordingly or if need be could tell those supplements it that's part one of the grant part two that's $18,000 part two is the training the annual training for each officer they have to do 16 hours of training and that's remainder that's approximately 68,000 380 23 for training for the entire
▶ 2:51 police department thank you thank you chief for coming tonight to talk to us about this grant is this is an annual grant we've been getting it for the past several years since they started the MD program several years ago and the same amount no it fluctuates because you know obviously the officers get an increase and there's some cost increase with our training vendors we have to bring folks in to actually train the officers okay but it's not any less than that you would have to fill in it's gone up gradually every year great and there's no match there is no match okay great thank you very much thank you motion to recommend second all the boys almost to recommend seconded by Alderman Turner
