Order 2017-134, the acceptance of a fiscal year 17 pedestrian and bicycle safety enforcement and equipment grant in the amount of $3,749.96 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of Public Safety and Security's Highway and Safety Division. I see in the audience that we have Chief Lyle someone motion to suspend the rules to bring chief lyle forward second alderman in front of move seconded by alderman medeiros all in favor all right um chief lyle would you like to join us at the table and tell us a little bit about this rant please thank you uh we're fortunate enough again to receive this grant pedestrian and bicycle safety so uh it's certainly fitting for the way
▶ 16:59 the city is redesigning now the roadways so we're going to apply it that way as far as enforcement for certainly crosswalks and if the board has any areas that they would like addressed please email me it's not a large sum of money but we certainly can do what we can with with the funds we have as far as equipment we're going to look to purchase a couple of the crosswalk homes the ones that seem to get destroyed fairly quickly they're very expensive they're about 350 dollars a piece so i'd like to purchase two and use the rest of the funds for enforcement there's a non-matching grant it is a non-matching grant thank you is there anyone that has any questions for chief lyle regarding this grant motion i recommend for passage alderman lemon

▶ 18:31 Mary Beth McAteer-Margolis: antiques at 954 b main street in melrose and i do want to just bring to the committee's attention that there um was a typo miss mistake in um mr dunn's name so we will need a motion to amend this to amend to joseph instead of john alderman Medeiros moves to amend it to joseph second seconded by alderman Lemmerman all in favor of the amendment hi hi opposed okay mr joseph dunn we are under suspension of the rules thank you for joining us this evening would you like to tell us a little bit about your upcoming business um i had a business in medford for about 10 years a antique store and i just i knew paul daly when he ran that store down there and and i moved to stonem and i just wanted to open up another store so i was out looking at
▶ 19:34 stores and i picked his old store and uh struck a deal with the people that on the on the building and and hoping i get a license to to sell antiques there and where exactly is the building it's uh it's across from the uh gray's appliance okay you know franklin square area the cronin building yeah mm-hmm where he used to have the Indians out on the sidewalk anyone from the committee have any questions Alderman Medeiros thank you very much thank you excited about this do you specialize in any kind of antiques or no just I'm older now I used to sell furniture and I'm not I'm selling small furniture costume jewelry and small items we wish you lots of luck thank you we live not so far down the street there
▶ 20:35 Mary Beth McAteer-Margolis: in the area so it's nice to see hopefully somebody come in and be successful and the store has been vacant for a while so it will look nice i do a good job when i when i open a store thank you very much and good luck so you'll be accepting items on consignment or you'll be accepting items no I just buy them and then just resell them great and all of your sign offs are in order from all of the appropriate authorities the building department the fire department so with that being said do you want to just tell us what your hours will be I'll probably be open I'm not positive yet but maybe Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday in the afternoon okay from like 12 to 5 it may just be Thursday Friday and Saturday or it may be Wednesday Thursday Friday and
