With us this evening as voting members of the committee are Ward 5, Alderman Inferna, Ward 2, Alderman Lemmerman, Ward 4, Alderman Boisselle. Alderman Medeiros is not with us as of yet. In accordance with the Massachusetts General Law, this meeting is being recorded and can be viewed at a later date via MMTV their website their cable access channel or through the city of Melrose website as well do we have a motion to open the floor for public participation second Alderman Inferno moves seconded by Alderman Boisselle to open the floor for public participation we have two all in favor aye we have just two items on the

▶ 1:52 Mary Beth McAteer-Margolis: public safety officer chief officers all in favor aye opposed gentlemen thank you for joining us this evening would you like to tell us about your grants yes this is the FY 16 EMPG or emergency management performance grant in the amount of six thousand four hundred and sixty dollars and this year we were given the grant from NEMA and we're looking to upgrade the portable radio batteries for both police and fire total amount of batteries is 81 batteries and basically we'll cover that cost do we have any questions from committee members to motion to recommend motion recommend by Alderman Wiesel seconded by Alderman Lemmerman any further discussion all in favor aye opposed that order will be recommended to the full board thank you both for coming
