MELROSE PLANNING BOARD MEETING MINUTES Regular Meeting Monday, February 27, 2017 7:45 PM Cassidy Conference Room, City Hall, 562 Main Street PRESENT: Carla Morelli, Anne DeSouza-Ward, Paul King, Robert Mercado, John Sadowski & Greg Sampson ABSENT: Mike Cassavoy, Sharon Petrillo & Jack Welch STAFF PRESENT: Denise Gaffey, Director and City Planner, Erin Zwirko, Assistant Planning Director & Lori Massa, Planning Coordinator The meeting was called to order at 7:45 PM by Ms. Morelli. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Planning Board Special Meeting and Public Hearing, June 1, 2015 Planning Board Regular Meeting and Public Hearing, June 22, 2015 Planning Board Regular Meeting and Public Hearing, November 16, 2015 Planning Board Regular Meeting and Public Hearing, December 14, 2015 Mr. Sadowski noted two edits to the third paragraph on page 5 of the November 16, 2015 minutes. Ms. DeSouza-Ward MADE a MOTION to approve the minutes noted above, as amended. Mr. Mercado SECONDED the MOTION. All members voted in favor. None were opposed. Planning Board Regular Meeting and Public Hearing, January 23, 2017 Mr. Mercado MADE a MOTION to approve the Planning Board Regular Meeting and Public Hearing minutes from January 23, 2017. Mr. King SECONDED the MOTION. All members voted in favor. None were opposed. ASSENT CALENDAR Case 17-002, 106 Highview Avenue, Christopher & Erin Smith (BOA hearing March 8, 2017) Ms. DeSouza-Ward MADE a MOTION to send a standard letter to the Board of Appeals. Mr. Mercado SECONDED the MOTION. All members voted in favor. None were opposed. Document: ZBA Application Case 17-002 DEFINITIVE SUBDIVISION Endorse Blueberry Hill Subdivision Mylars The Planning Board members signed the plans for the Blueberry Hill subdivision. Planning Board Meeting Minutes February 27, 2017 Page 2 of 2 OTHER Master Plan Update There will be a public forum on March 30 at 7 pm in the GAR room of Memorial Hall at which time the draft of the Master Plan will be released. There will be a public comment period for three to four weeks after the meeting. The plan will come to the Planning Board at the regularly scheduled May meeting for adoption. There will likely be an informational presentation to the Board of Aldermen at a date that is yet to be determined. NEXT MEETING The next Zoning Subcommittee Meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2017 after the Planning Board meeting. The Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017. The Master Plan Public Forum, Thursday, March 30, 2017. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM.
