I met the owner of Jerry's Pizza. So we talked a little bit. I looked at his menu, trying to come to the neighborhood. So hopefully I can introduce more of Italian cuisine, which

That's what I do over there. Like lobster ravioli, clams linguine, things like that. That's the whole main thing. So I'm more gourmet pizza like, I don't know, grilled chicken with pesto sauce, things like that. That's my main thing. And I have my friend here, He's got more details on that. Riyad Karkoush, Hi, everyone. My name is Riyad Karkoush. I've been a chef since 1993. I'm also owner of a catering business. I've been doing business with the museum school, known as the SMFA, since 2002, still in business. Lately, this last summer, Tufts University took over the MFA.

I'm not really involved with the cafe operation, even if I'm partner. I do more the catering part. And Jelani and I are friends, and we want to expand business, so this opportunity came, and, you know, we looked at the city, the place, and, you know, we like it. We establish the business, hopefully, for the first six months, if we can, or the first year, if things goes well. That's what we're hoping, because the place has more potential to do a brunch. Okay. And we looked at the area. There is no like a branch area. We're hoping hopefully it can work out. All right. And the name of the place is still gonna be Jerry's Pizza? Yes. At this time? Yeah. Okay. Thank you. second order is order number 2017-87 it's the acceptance of an emd fy 2017 training grant in the amount of seventy six thousand seventy dollars and sixty one cents from the commonwealth of massachusetts executive office of public safety fund number four zero zero six we already are in
▶ 11:58 suspension of rules so i see that we have chief lyle with us this evening would you like to come forward chief and give us the lowdown good evening thank you for joining us emd is an abbreviation for emergency medical dispatch we've been doing this for approximately three years now basically when an emergency call comes into the police department it's a medical call we transfer it to cataldo ambulance they're our vendor for emd resource they they tier the call whether it's an als or bls they contact the fire department immediately and then they dispatch accordingly that is the emd portion and that is eighteen thousand dollars a year it's been the same figure since the grant started the rest is for training each one of our dispatchers is
▶ 12:56 required annually to perform 16 hours of training this year was a little different where they did an upgrade to the 911 system to next gen which basically encompasses global positioning of a 911 call and that was eight hours of training for the new equipment in the police department so they're only doing eight hours of training this year and the remainder of the fees and the value there of the 58 000 covers that does anyone on the committee have any questions for the chief on this motion to recommend for passage second lemon moves to recommend seconded by Alderman Rizal all in favor aye opposed and that will be going forward to the full board next Tuesday you could probably stay right there chief if you don't mind because the next order is pertinent to you as
▶ 13:48 Mary Beth McAteer-Margolis: well order number two zero one seven dash nine six it's the acceptance of the the FY 2017 State 9-1-1 Department Support and Incentive Grant in the amount of $56,187 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety, fund number 2595. And what— Thank you. Can you tell us about this? This is the 9-1-1 Support and Incentive Grant. A portion of it, $51,187, goes to salary and wage to offset some of our costs in dispatch. um Thorp 300 for our annual service for the ac unit that handles dispatch which believe it or not runs 365 24 7. even in the winter with the equipment and then we have a playback service for all our phone lines and radio transmissions that's acorn recording for fourteen hundred
▶ 14:40 dollars and something new that we're pretty excited about is data viz it does nine one excuse me 911 alerts so we'll say one of our neighboring communities has an emergency call armed robbery in progress as soon as they put it into their CAD system the computer-aided dispatch system an alert will show up in all our mobile terminals as well as in dispatch so the officers in the field will have an alert that you know one of our excuse me neighboring communities is having a hot call alderman lemon thank you madam chair Thank You chief is this this is an annual grant right we've been fortunate it's the same number 56 one uh 187 for a number of years great so it's been level this isn't any increase or decrease either way no it's been it's been stable great
