▶ 0:00 Jennifer L. Lemmerman: Good evening. The time is now 7 30 on September 22nd and this is the Health Education and Welfare Committee. I am the chair, Alderman Lemmerman. We're joined tonight by committee members Alderman Inferna, Alderman McAteer-Margolis, we have President and ex-officio member Conn with us. We also have non-voting members tonight, Alderman Forbes, Alderman Alderman Mortimer, and Alderman Suarco, and we are being joined now as well by Alderman Tramontozzi. This meeting is being recorded and it can be viewed on MMTV or on the city website through MMTV recordings. We're also being joined now by Alderman Aguirre-Else. We have a motion to open the floor- Motion. For public participation. We have a motion to open the floor for public participation by Alderman McAteer-Margolis, seconded by Alderman Inferno.

▶ 1:45 suspend the rules is there second second by alderman Medeiros all in favor hi we are under suspension of the rules and we're joined tonight by ruth clay to talk to us about this item would you like to give us a little background so it's a federal grant from samhsa we currently have this grant it ends the end of the federal fiscal year which is september 29th which we had for four years so we reapplied it is specifically for underage drinking and we plan on using the funds to create a diversion program with the police department and to hire a part-time continue having a part-time youth coordinator to work with the students at the middle in the high school thank you very much do we have any questions yes thank you thank you for reaching out on this again is there
