Motion to open the floor for public participation. Alderman Lemmerman moves to open the floor for public participation, seconded by Alderman Boisselle. Medeiros: now open for public participation and any member of the public can come and speak before us motion to close public participation second Alderman Boisselle moves to close public participation seconded by Alderman Lemmerman all those in favor aye opposed public participation is now closed the first and only order before us this evening is order 2016-87 it's It's the acceptance of an underage alcohol enforcement grant fund number 4008 in the amount of $4,942.08. Motion to suspend the rules so we can hear from the chief, please. Second. Alderman Mermin moves to suspend the rules, seconded by Alderman Boisselle. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? ▶ 7:39 We've applied for this grant every year, and we seem to get it every other year, so this is our year. It may not seem like a large number, but it certainly helps the police department as the weather gets better. We'll be afforded to put out additional patrols on weekends to curtail underage drinking, and these patrols will check out parks and playgrounds and different hot spots that we determine through our crime analysis. That's it. motion to recommend second alderman Boisselle moves to recommend seconded by alderman lemmerman anything further from the committee i apologize there is no in-kind match for this too so that to put the board at ease there is no match thank you chief that was going to be my question
