Tramontozzi: range from the former police vehicles that were passed down to DPW for inspection will use a 1971 snowblower which we've rated for pots to keep our other 1971 snowblower running and a roller for road work and our 1986 jet truck which we haven't used in about seven eight years there any questions from the committee for mr. Shannon I'm not from anyone chairman first from the committee no Alderman Tremor Josie thank you no I'm not a voting member of the committee but mr. Shen around do you anticipate that you'll be getting sealed bids on these equipment yes I anticipate also that they're going to be sold as a package or it could be individually sold no they are sold individually as is whereas at time of a publicly advertised auction so is it open to the any member

Tramontozzi: the public who wish to maintain a bid it is not just any businesses or individuals so any member of the the public who wishes to come forward when is the uh when's it anticipated this auction well we have a we actually have a publicly advertised auction um for this coming wednesday and upon successful approval of this order these will be included in that and we just won't award it until the order fully comes out of this the uh the board in a few weeks but um these items will be part of that they've been advertised as part of that anticipation of this order coming um that auction also has other equipment in it and i believe a bounce house from recreation and um oh yeah i remember that the bounce house a few a few other items that we actually approved for author's

Mortimer: disposal last year here so we're just trying to clean up our facility before snow excellent all right that's all i have thank you alderman waterman uh thank you very much yeah thank you for uh bringing up the bounce house because i see that's not on the list we have before us but i did see it in the uh email preparing for tonight's meeting did i also see three upright pianos uh we are yes that's correct and more upright pianos we've taken we we are um we're auctioning those for the school department i believe that approval goes to the school committee and i've worked with uh biz with school business uh agent on that and those will also we we receive bids on them and we reserve the right to accept or reject the bid so if we don't have approval

Mortimer: just because we have a bid we don't award it until that approval is in place right and i saw also in uh the literature you sent to us that the viewing, people can view the property from 9 to 12, and then the sealed bids are accepted at 1 o'clock all on Wednesday, this Wednesday. That's correct. Just if you know, or if anyone else knows, if it's worth it for anybody out there in the public walking who might want an upright house, generally, what kind of condition are these pianos in? Decent? I mean, would you say they're at least decent? No good? Mrs. Tamer was shaking her head. John they're not using them anymore and they're collecting space so thank thank you thank you very much thank you I thought somebody from the public might
▶ 16:03 benefit by the information but apparently not thank you madam chairman thank you president Khan how many of the vehicles are registered and insured these vehicles five of the seven are on the insurance and they're all in they're all registered still the five gonna be replaced with new vehicles or are you not going to replace them at the present time at the front we I mean novice there are a capital improvement plan has replaced so theoretically we might be picking up some credit on our insurance but decreasing our fleet by five vehicles at least in the short term that's correct that's all make a motion to recommend second alderman forbes has made a motion to recommend seconded by alderman lehman
▶ 17:01 all in favor aye opposed uh mr shenna since we have you here uh is there any brief update you'd like to give us or are you going to save that for your appropriations uh presentation no in terms of construction right uh we're nearing the end we hope we're wrapping up a very busy season um Um, Lincoln, uh, utility and road projects on Lincoln Street, Cottage Street, East Foster Street, and as of tomorrow at this time, we hope Lynn would have, will all be complete and in punch list, um, punch list phase. Uh, that leaves projects on, in the Albert Street neighborhood, Gould Street, and the Whittier-Baxter Street neighborhoods that, where the utility improvements will be completed this year, will be back in the spring to do roadway and curb work franklin street is progressing it is a very
▶ 17:57 large project i think there was some anticipation that that project would go a little faster but there are multiple phases i mean you just can't take a piece of curb and move it out eight feet which is essentially what we're doing we had to make room for that there are a few blocks uh one in front of the church and then a second where we've uh just completed this past week in front like achara and mother's pizza that kind of give a glimpse into the future of what that will look like next spring but um we'll we'll work as long as the weather lets us but yeah we're struggling with that right now between cold weather and um and now rain and snow but uh that with franklin street state lebanon street and let me start by saying those sidewalks are temporary i have to
▶ 18:46 I have to take every opportunity I can to say that, the sidewalks, the hot top sidewalks on Lebanon are temporary. They've been put down to allow underground conduit work to go in. That conduit work is for traffic signals. That's what connects the future traffic signals, because they're all connected when this project's complete. So they're doing underground signal work, they're doing drainage work. Grass work is complete on Lebanon Street, water work is complete on Lebanon Street. So that's where that stands. And then there's several smaller projects throughout the wards that we've worked on and we're working up at the Common Playground right now as well. Equipment is due to arrive this week and next week, so we should see some progress up there as well.
▶ 19:37 Robert A. Boisselle: We'll keep working as long as weather lets us. Thank you. Alderman Rizal? The director has answered one of my questions concerning Leviton Street and so forth. I'm getting a lot of calls concerning the asphalt that's being laid everywhere. Which is what you're saying in the spring of next year they're going to be coming back with the concrete to fill up after the conduits are finished. That's correct. And you also mentioned or touched upon they're going to work as much as they can. Well right now they're forecasting snow for this area, anywhere from two to six inches. Is the, are you all set for this snow storm or, depending on which service you listen to. We're prepared, we're prepared in public works.
▶ 20:23 You have all your salt and sand that. We are ready to go to fight this through chemicals or if we had to plow it as well. With the temperatures the way they're forecasted in the next two, three days, I'm hopeful that we'll be on the lower end of that accumulation. But we're ready, and these projects that we allow to continue to work, it's a day by day. Whether we leave plates on the ground, we're constantly watching forecast at this point in time. But if the weather allows, I'm a firm believer in allowing these projects to gain production. And right now, Lebanon Street is scheduled to go until the week of Christmas. if we have to we'll shut it down if not we'll keep on working okay thank you

Shana for that update we really appreciate it and all the work that the DPW is doing I on the common I just had a question I know I thought that we were looking at November for completion what but obviously that doesn't seem like no No, no, the equipment is, I believe the equipment was going to arrive on Wednesday, and we're probably a couple weeks out. So you probably, do you think we'll get it in before the winter? That's our plan, we hope to. And I keep getting asked, are the toys coming back there, or is that? So the toys should be kept off of the play surface, the rubber play surface, just because of a safety zone perspective,
▶ 21:58 but that would be Joan Bell's policy to put in place next year the inside the track doesn't change so the way that was used is it can continue to be used that way but I believe that with all the playground looks is going to look a lot of different difference can have several small pieces and they all require a safety zone that can't have any permanent piece in it so I think she may keep the toys out out of the playground but allow it in the track and just one One thing as we're heading into Thanksgiving holiday, trash pick up is going to be delayed one day. And I think we had a little discussion here about yard waste. Thursday's scheduled recycling and trash pick up will be Friday, Friday's will be Saturday.
▶ 22:45 There's no yard waste collection this week. We pick up next week and we've added another week because of the warm fall. We've gone to I believe the week of the 8th will be our last curbside pick up. Okay, very good. Thank you very much. Anyone else? Mr. Shenna, if the weather is good, do you anticipate construction work this weekend on Friday and Saturday? We're being very careful where we go. I believe we'll allow the gas company to work in certain areas. We want to try to stay out of the neighborhoods. It's a family weekend, so we want to balance production with disruption. if I think we're in good shape on Franklin Street I believe we're in good shape on on Linwood after tomorrow so there'll be limited construction but
