RESULT: ACCEPTED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Jennifer McAndrew SECONDER: Jennifer Razi-Thomas ABSENT: Dorie Withey AYES: Jennifer McAndrew, Jennifer Razi-Thomas, Jennifer Grigoraitis, Seamus Kelley, Margaret Raymond Driscoll, Matt Hartman The Deputy Interim Superintendent noted that the final FY 24 report was received yesterday. He confirmed that the information contained in the final report matched the data presented in the prior packet. The final report was a procedural formality and will be included in the next meeting's packet for reference only. 2. Policy and Planning - Matt Hartman/Margaret Driscoll A Vote: 2026-2027 School Year Calendar Policy and Planning Subcommittee Chair Hartman presented a revised 2026-2027 school calendar setting June 18th as the official observance day for Juneteenth. This adjustment also established the new last possible day of school if snow days extend the year. A motion was made by Ms. McAndrew to approve the 2026-2027 school year calendar,

▶ 18:02 Speaker 5: It. Um, we have a few items on the docket for policy and planning this evening. Um, all of them have been before us before. Uh, so some of these are coming up for a final vote and others are coming for a revote. Um, starting with the school calendar, uh, our last meeting, we discussed the, um, impact of Juneteenth on the calendar. Uh, it is now appearing as June 18th. Should we need that as a day based upon our weather situation this winter. Uh, if we have this school year reaching into June 18th, June 18th would be a day off. And presumably we would have Monday to complete the school year that at that time if we needed those days. Um, so that's reflected in the calendar at this point. It's up to the committee. If we wanna move forward with this calendar and approve it. If there's a motion to approve the calendar. Msre. Motion approve. Seconded by Ms. Razzi Thomas, any discussion on the calendar as Ms. Withey takes her seat? No discussion. All those in favor?

Um, so we have six in favor and one abstention on the calendar. Moving to another item that we've seen before, this is the competency determination. We, um, had a discussion about where this comes from and, uh, how it needs to be implemented by the end of the year and sent to Desi. Um, at this point, we are approving it for a second vote. After having combined our informational reading and our first vote at our last meeting, um, if the will of the committees to move forward, I'll entertain a motion to approve the competency determination.
