▶ 27:57 Jen Grigoraitis: A resolution honoring Christopher. Cinella as the president of the Melrose city council for 2022. Whereas counselor Chris cinella has served as the city council president for the city of Melrose for 2021 and 2022. Whereas the city council congratulates President Snow for completing his third year as a counselor at large for the city of Melrose and appreciates his commitment to serving Melrose. Whereas that President sonella led the council through two years of the covid-19 pandemic during which he provided leadership in an ever-changing Public Health environment in oversaw the first ever hybrid Council meetings. Whereas that President sonella provided guidance and support to all of his colleagues including three new counselors and treated his fellow counselors and City Hall staff with respect. Whereas the council recognizes that President sonella's dedication to our community extends. Well beyond his efforts in the chamber, whereas that President sanela volunteers his time to support many Melrose organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce rotary and keep Melrose beautiful. Whereas that president sonella is an active and engaged member of melrose's business Community with an office in downtown Melrose and regularly supports our city through efforts such as his annual backpack in school supplies collection Drive. Whereas that President cinella continues his family's Legacy of service to the city of Melrose and to the council as previously demonstrated by his father and his uncle and that his wife Maggie and children's CJ and Jake supported president sonella in his tenure as council president be it resolved that we the members of the city council. Do you hear by express our sincere appreciation to president sonella for his able administration of the Office of the President and for his efforts on behalf of the city of Melrose and in recognition thereof direct that the gavel wielded by him be suitably inscribed and presented to him and be it further resolved than on this 19th day of December of the Year, 2022 a copy of this resolution be spread upon the records of the city council and that a special copy be signed by each member of the council and presented to president samela retiring president of the Melrose City Council.

▶ 31:02 Christopher Cinella: Well, thank you for that counciloritis and I just I want to say it's been an honor and privilege to serve as president and I really thank all of you for your support over the last two years in your commitment to the city of Melrose. I want to thank especially everybody that's stepped up to chair a committee and especially president-elect gregoritis who shared Appropriations and as we all know that Appropriations is the most active committee and there was a tremendous amount of work in time that goes into to that committee behind the scenes and I'm happy that we're gonna you know, give her a little little break and elect her as our next president so she'll have some time off. But lastly, you know a big thank you to our city clerk. Kristen Foote and Clerk of committees Andrew Gabriel and all your staff Diane out his own age. You went preparing you guys juggle a tremendous amount of work in that office and as part-time City councilors, you know, we would not be able to do our jobs, you know without them. So I thank you.
