▶ 1:09 Jen Grigoraitis: Okay, at this time, I will motion by unanimous consent to pass the meeting minutes from our January 17th, 2023 meeting without reading. Okay, seeing no objection those minutes have now been passed. We are now at the public comment portion of our meeting. This is the period of time where any member of the public can approach us and speak about any matter that is on our agenda. And at this time I will motion by unanimous consent to open public comment. Seeing no objection public comment is now open would either of our audience attendees wish to approach Council. Please come forward and state your name for the record.

▶ 1:52 Speaker 2: So good evening. I'm David Hoff. I am chair of the city's Commission on disability I in case you have not already heard. It's going to make sure all the city councilors and anybody watching or listening members of the public the city has released an Americans with Disabilities Act self-evaluation and transition paint plan for public comment and it is now available in the city's website. This is a very comprehensive document and it provides an evaluation of all the cities facilities as well as Recreation spaces in terms of compliance with the Ada in Access for people with disabilities as well as examining the city's policies and access to services and programs. This has been a long-term project of the commission. We're very excited regarding release of this evaluation plan. As it provides a detailed blueprint for ensuring that City buildings and services are welcome welcoming to people all abilities. The draft evaluation plan are available in the city website paper copies are also available at the public library. And so we just would like appreciate any of any sort of counselors looking at it, but also encouraging your constituents to look at it as well in addition to accepting comments by email. There are two upcoming meetings where the commission will be accepted comments from the public week from tonight next Monday, February 13th from six to eight online at our regularly monthly meeting in the next Wednesday, February 15th from 6 to 8 here at City Hall in the Cassidy conference room, and we really want to hear from the public regarding this draft evaluation and plan and comments are due by February 24th, and we also look forward to formally presenting the evaluation plan to the city council after the common period ends and certainly if anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out to the commission, and we just by email at Commission on disability at city of melrose.org.
