I'm Councilor Gar, the chair joining me of voting members, councilor McMaster. Councilor mli, councilor Abramsky, and President Greg. Recording in progress. All Pres also present are non-Voting Members. Council is Chetty Ella and Councilor Williams. This meeting of the Protection and Licensing Committee is being recorded live on mm mt. V and will be available online at the city website, www.cityofmelrose.org. At this time, if there are no objections with the unanimous consent, I will open the public comment portion of the meeting. Seeing no objections, uh, public comment is now open. As a reminder, this is a portion of the meeting, um, where any member of the public may speak to items on the agenda in person or remotely. Is there anyone here in the public that would like to speak on the items in front of the Protection and Licensing Committee?

▶ 1:14 Speaker 1: Good evening, everyone. I'm Ellen Katz. I live at 70 Line Street, and, um, I'm a 20 year resident of Melrose, and which I guess is not like a really long time, but it's long. I finally feel like I'm not a new resident anymore. Um, I do wanna urge the council to support the specialized energy code. That's, I think it's agenda item number two tonight.

We have two license renewals before us that require a vote to place on file license number 2024 dash five, which is licensed common Ular renewals for 2024.
